The Contrada della Tartuca occupies the streets around Via Tommaso Pendola, near Sant'Agostino, in the Terzo di Città. Its emblem is a tortoise with Savoy knots and daisies; its motto is Forza e costanza albergo. Its colours are yellow and deep blue (turchino).

Museum and what to see
The Museo della Contrada della Tartuca, at Via Tommaso Pendola 21, is arranged in three sections — the Museo del Palio, the Museo del Costume, and the oratory with its sacred furnishings. Among its drappelloni are works by Fernando Botero (2002) and Igor Mitoraj (2004). Visits are available by reservation or during announced special openings.
